Spiritual Corner - The Work of the Holy Spirit During This Time

When faced with the enemy and in the need of expelling and destroying him, the living Holy Spirit of the Church would appear in an unprecedented manner to exemplify his presence and power.

In face of the tribulations during this time, the Holy Spirit would enable new religious orders and communities from the various parts of the world to come together to pursue their idealistic goals and offer their lives to serve God and their neighbours. This is a refreshing breath for the Church from the Holy Spirit.

God has endowed us with his highest grace. This grace is for us to save ourselves and without good use of it, we will perish. We must emphasize this and give details on this.  However, this is somewhat painful and difficult to do. Nevertheless, we must admit and confess that many genuine and generous works, though appear to be inspired by the Holy Spirit, yet lost their directions. We should retain the same love for them and continue to pray for them but avoid the same mistakes and failures they have made.

To follow the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is to ascertain God’s will for the world and each of us. This is difficult but this can be done with the directives of the Church and the Encyclical of the Pope, who gives wise instructions on things of our concerns. The Bishops also give directives to the faithful. The faithful’s foremost duty is to follow the teachings
and directives of the Church.

The foremost duty of the faithful is to obey the Church; to study the will of God through the Bible, the tradition of the Church, as well as the works and thoughts of the Apostles. The Holy Spirit talks to us through the above. He also inspires our souls. We can truly trust in his assistance in our study. The only rule to follow is to respect and obey the authority of the Church.
