加拿大全國將於2021年9月30日星期四奉行國家真相及修和日。在進行中之修復與和解旅途上,全國之天主教徒均有所關連,蓋教會曾參與開辦很多原住民寄宿學校並明白到很多幸存者所受到代與代間的傷害。這一天為所有加拿大人提供機會,使能認識並紀念原住民寄宿學校留下的遺蹟,同時承擔為原住民及非原住民關係之真相及和解努力。
