ONLINE EVENT RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM
This online course will be led by Dr. Rabbi Robert Harris, Professor of Bible, and Ancient Semitic Languages at The Jewish Theological Seminary. Rabbi Harris will treat some of the key elements in the story of the Exodus and explain how the Israelites moved from slavery to freedom. He will explore how the Torah adapted rituals that pre-dated the Exodus to tell a new kind of story and why Haggadah is read at the beginning of the Seder on Passover. Plan to join this mini course to understand what the Exodus meant in ancient times and what it means today, both for the Jewish community and Christians.
